Signature Bank of Georgia recently helped sponsor an event to promote the economic value of greenspace in the Sandy Springs area.

The event, held at Villa Christina at Perimeter Summit, was titled "Money Does Grow on Trees" and was presented by the Sandy Springs Conservancy.

"Sandy Springs has a successful government and can already boast new parks and greenspace like Morgan Falls Park, Lost Corner Preserve and the Abernathy Greenway," said Steve Levetan, Chairman of the Sandy Springs Conservancy. "The time is right to launch the next phase of community dialog around greenspace goals."

"Investing in greenspace has been proven to attract business, enhance neighborhoods and increase the public balance sheet," said Freddie Deutsch, Signature Bank of Georgia's President and CEO. "We at Signature believe that greenspace will be a key to helping Sandy Springs achieve its potential."

The Sandy Springs Conservancy, an independent organization, has been successfully advocating for more parks and greenspace for over a decade in the community.

"Every week we are faced with opportunities to expand our city's inventory of greenspace, to help with park projects and to assist landowners," Levetan said. "This can't happen without the involvement of informed community leaders and we are delighted to have Signature Bank on board."

As the only true community bank headquartered in Sandy Springs, Signature Bank is committed to supporting the community in many ways.

The bank is sponsoring and team members are volunteering in numerous programs including the Community Assistance Center, Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and Leadership Sandy Springs in addition to the Sandy Springs Conservancy.

"Here is where we are building something that we are proud of the most," said Deutsch. "We are helping to build a better community."

Signature Bank of Georgia is located on the first floor at 6065 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
